”This is an example of a more figurative time of work, in a much more figurative time for my art. My colours were strong, bold and defined. I enjoyed the use of emblems. I let the paint drip and form its own shapes – in this instance it has almost created a railing effect, or DNA, or however it is to be interpreted. That is the beauty of art - it can be anything you perceive it to be.”
